GENERAL ASSEMBLY
1. Demolition of the Palestinian Khan Al-Ahmar Village by the Israeli’s
Government
Israel has proposed the notion of razing the Bedouin Palestinian village
claiming that the shacks were built illegally and forcibly transfer its residents.
The United Nations has called on Israel not to take such demolitions since
they are against international law. Will Israel respond to the UN’s calls? Are
Israel’s motives reasonable? How should the other countries respond?
2. Trump Imposing Sanctions on different international countries.
In 2018, Trump has applied the strategy represented by imposing sanctions
especially economic on Iran, Turkey, Zimbabwe, China and other countries, to
force them to abide by his policies and enforced terms. Consequently, this has
led some countries to defend themselves and respond to protect their
supremacy and sovereignty. Would this strategy ignite an actual conflict
between these countries? To what extent is imposing sanctions ethical?
3. The risk of escalating violence as a result of killer autonomous robots.
In the last several years, the human race has witnessed the rapid and most
advanced developments in technology, especially in the field of Artificial
Intelligence and robotics. While they are proven very beneficial,
they might also become a great cause of violence and destruction
through the development and use of powerful military weapons that
are fully autonomous and are programmed to kill. Countries like USA,
UK, China, and more powers are leading the production of such weapons
while many others are proposing a ban against them for fear for human life.
What precautions must be taken when dealing with this topic?
Should countries proceed with the development of fully autonomous weapons?
Must there be international laws and regulations regarding the use
and production of the weapons? Or should they be completely banned?
